The fact is that the Danish authorities are unaware of the torment Danish exchange students have experienced because the agencies do settle the cases out of court.
The students aka the victims are forced to sign contracts on secrecy in order to receive just a little amount in compensation.
No law the Danish parliament can pass will punish agencies and especially their American partners unless the number of Danish Exchange students will be zero. Only then the agencies can be heard.
One in 20 of every exchange student return home to Denmark before time and as the documentary did show many of the exchange students have to endure intercourses with members of their host family which leaves them in such a shameful state that they are not able to talk about their ordeal.
This webpage has been up for years and nothing has changed. A typical exchange student is as much in danger as when we started back in 2009.
We need only one answer from the Danish parliament and that is that the school year 2011 to 2012 was the last year Denmark did send exchange students abroad.
